Orlando’s Halloween horror nights is back for its 35th year running select nights from August 28th to November 1st. Once again you can make your way through 10 new haunted houses. There is a mix of well-known scary movies, shows and musicians along with Universals own original concepts. *Warning possible spoilers ahead!

Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos and control-Both Jack the clown and Dr.Oddfellow have been part of previous Horror nights as icons. This house shows the origins of Jack and some of the history between him and Dr.Oddfellow and the rooms are sometimes from Jacks perspective others from Oddfellows. The story eventually has the 2 deciding they should team up and work together. If you get motion sick be aware there is a stretch of hallway with a rotating tunnel. And of course it wouldn’t be complete with a little fun house element, one of the rooms has a tilted floor, for those don’t want to walk here or are unable there is a more accessible path too.

Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of darkness-This house is a less of a haunted house and more of a tribute to the musician Ozzy Osbourne who sadly passed away last year. The rooms take you through his music career, my favorite part was walking through a train car while his song Crazy Train is blasted all around you. Other great songs featured in this house include Straight to hell and See you on the other side. Be sure to look in the ponds when you first enter where some of Ozzys live concerts are playing.

Cybergoria-One of the unique houses this year is based on the idea of making people immortal by first placing them into a cryogenic sleep until technology has advanced to make them immortal. When the people wake up they find that their world has been taken over by AI robots that have been given the task to make these people immortal, so they have been turning them into cyborgs by replacing their limbs with robot parts. Warning this house has a very strong and bad smell at the start of the house, we could smell it all the way out in the Fast and Furious queue before getting to the house.

H.R. Bloodengutz presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!– Back in 2011 H.R. Bloodengutz had the Holidays of Horror house, where he went on a killing spree and was arrested, since then he has broke out of prison and this is where the current house begins. The set up to this house is very similar to how the Slaughterhouse Sinema 2 house in 2024, with each room representing a different b-horror film and concluding with the main feature which is H.R. with another victim in the recording studio. This house is one of the more fun that scary house and for fans that frequent HHN there are familiar characters as well.

Stranger Things (season 5)-This house takes you through some of the iconic scenes from the final season of the show. Most of the main characters only make a brief appearance but we do see Holly, Derek and Mrs.Wheeler which are the main secondary characters from this season. There are plenty of demogorgon jump scares and several Vecna spotting’s but sadly no Mr.Whatsit that we saw anyway. If you watched this final season you will enjoy this house as the rooms bring the show to life.

Evil Dead Burn-Based of the film of the same name the house takes place at the cabin in the movie and includes recognizable scenes but toned down a bit, so you don’t have to worry about seeing the dog get hurt. When you’re in the cellar or basement it starts getting hotter which is great for the storyline but not so much when you’ve been out in the Florida heat.

Sinners-Also based of the movie you are taken down south to Mississippi with the Smokestack twins as the open the Juke Joint where their cousin Sammie’s Blues music has almost spiritual powers. Unbeknownst to the town a vampire has begun to take the lives of its residents and stumbles upon the Juke Joint and starts to take them down with 2 of his newer victims. There are plenty of jump scares from the main vampire throughout the house along with important scenes and music from the film.

INVASTION: Alien Abduction-Taking place on a small a midwestern farm, aliens are attacking and taking people and animals back to their mothership. In addition to the details inside I really liked that they had the outside themed as well with the spaceship lights going off every minute and *spoiler alert* a scare at the exit queue as well.

Hellraiser-Based of the 3 Hellraiser films that start with the finding of the antique puzzle box (which is found throughout the house) that opens a gateway to other worldly dimensions and transports the main character where they encounter the Cenobites and Pinhead. The layout of this house is a unique in that you can see into other rooms while going through the house.

MADLANDS: Caged cannibals-This house takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where animals have gone extinct and humans have turned to cannibalism. The outfits they wear are supposed to be their ideas of what they think these animals would have looked like. When Universal first announced this house I was worried it would be another dud like Hellblock Horror from a few years back but was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. You walk through what is left of an old zoo and there are plenty of details throughout so make sure you are looking all around.
