Located in the front of main street at Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom, this small hidden shop is an actual working barber shop. They have 3 chairs and every time we stop in they are always filled. They do offer both adult and child haircuts. But what I think makes this place special is their package for first haircuts. It includes a lock of your baby’s hair, a certificate and Mickey ears embroidered with “my 1st haircut”.
This has become a family tradition for us. Our first daughter was 15 months old the first time we took her to Disney World so I made an appointment after hearing that they offered this package. The stylist who cut her hair first covered her in Mickey mouse stickers and she was so distracted by them she didn’t even realize what had happened.
We waited until our second daughter was almost 2 before she had hers and loved the vast assortment of light up spinning toys they had. In addition to the certificate and Mickey ears, we were also given a lock of their hair mixed with some “pixie dust” as a keepsake. When we had our older girls done it was just under $20. The current rate is $25 I would highly recommend a first haircut here!
