During our trip to Paris we stayed at 2 places in different parts of the city. The first hotel was only for 1 night before we went to Disneyland Paris for a few days. I choose this hotel based on its proximity to the RER train that takes you from the city to Disney. This hotel is about a minute walk to a Paris metro station which was a big perk of staying at this location. To get to the hotel you do have to take stairs; if I can give you 1 single important piece of advice for traveling in Paris it would be to pack small/light because there are lots of stairs and elevators or escalators are few and far between!
Novotel has about a dozen hotels scattered throughout Paris. We also stayed at the Novotel Tour Eiffel during the 2nd half of our trip. Both rooms featured a double bed and a pull out sofa which was the perfect size for the 3 of us. I had read online that some of the hotels do not offer elevators but happy to report this one did have them.
There was a desk, small fridge and television. They brought us 2 small water bottles for our fridge after we checked in. The tv had about a dozen channels almost all were in french but the girls still enjoyed watching cartoons and the commercials for the French version of their favorite American toys.
The room had a small coffee pot and safe for keeping small valuables in.
When you walk in there is a hallway with bathrooms to one side and a storage area big enough for our luggage.
The bathroom to our room was split, the one room had the tub/shower and sink while the other had the toilet. One thing I found different to the bathtubs here in America was how high the tub walls went up, like they were almost a bit dangerous getting in and out for the kids.
One thing I didn’t care for was no sink in the same room as the toilet. This was the only hotel we stayed at during our trip that had the toilet separated like this.
While this hotel is not in middle of Paris we had a great view of the river seine out our window. It was a bit overcast in the photo but both the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe were visible from our hotel. In fact we watched the light show on the Eiffel tower from the comfort of our room the 1st night.
The lobby had a small family area with tv, foosball table and kids play area.
This play area for kids was a welcomed surprise. There was a shelf full of books and an interactive play table the girls put a virtual puzzle together on. This hotel did not have a pool but one we stayed at near the Eiffel tower did but not this play area. We only stayed here for 1 night but we enjoyed our time at this hotel and would stay here again.
