Universal has announced that they will be closing most of the rides and attractions in the KidZone area at Universal Studios. While they have said that E.T. and the Spongebob store will remain open everything else will close permanently on January 16th 2023. This includes the Woodywood pecker roller coaster, Dreamworks character dance party, Feivels playland, the Shrek meet and greet and Curious George play area. The last operating day for these with be January 15th. While universal has not yet said what will be taking over this area, they have said it will still be dedicated to cartoon characters.
