Just a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom is one of the cheapest buffets on Disney property. The Trails End restaurant is located on the Fort Wilderness campgrounds right next to the Hoop de do musical review.

The buffet offers a salad bar area with several cold salads. The only dressing choices they had were ranch, balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese.

They had fresh fruit, potato salad, coleslaw as well as peel and eat shrimp.

They offer a soup of the day and chili. The soup of the day was minestrone I believe.

Next to the soup they had some bread pudding and apple cobbler.

There are several warm side dishes including the kid friendly mac and cheese.

You can also find the very yummy corn bread next to the sides. The butter is located next to the dinner rolls on the by the desserts.

For the main course they have fried and baked chicken, salmon, pork ribs and a carving station.

On the carving station tonight they had brisket and pork. There are baked potatoes available and a few toppings to create your own. If you have a picky eater like we do they also have cheese pizza next to the carving station.

The dinner rolls and butter are located next to desserts.

If you have any room left after all the ribs and chicken then make your way over to what looks like an island of sweets.

There are plenty of choices and most come in small portions so you can fill your plate with a little of everything if you wanted. Don’t forget the bread pudding and apple cobbler are by the soup to keep them warm and delicious! Our favorite dessert had to be the s’mores bites seen below in the left hand corner. If you room for only one thing I would highly suggest giving it a try!

Everything I ate here was good and we will definitely be back. It was less than 15 minutes by boat to get here from the Magic Kingdom and there is a playground just outside to keep the kids busy while you wait. For the price it’s worth the trip, just bring your appetite as you will want to try a little of everything.

As a mom of 3 the only thing I didn’t like about this restaurant is that there is no bathroom inside the restaurant. You have to go outside and past the building for Hoop De Do. If you have small children I would make a trip to restroom before you sit down to eat. We saw several races to the bathroom while we were waiting for our table.
