Long before there was a whole land dedicated to the Toy Story films Hollywood Studios had a very unique interactive ride. The ride got a new entrance with the opening of the new land but the inside of the ride remains the same. This ride features midway style games you play using 3-D glasses and ride through to play each game.
While I would not say this is as interactive of a line as some of the others found in the parks you will have plenty to see while waiting, don’t forget to check out the ceilings too. Disney went all out in the decor for this ride and there are larger than life toys scattered throughout.
They also have these huge Etchasketch that have Toy Story themed trivia questions like the one above.
Another fun part in line is the Mr. Potato head. He talks towards the guests in line and even sings a few songs.
The loading area also has plenty of fun details to observe, this is one of two different loading areas feels just like you are in Andys bedroom.
Each car has 4 seats that are colored red, blue, green or yellow. This ride does not have any height restrictions and we have rode many times with our little ones comfortably in our laps.
The games work with this shooters that are operated by pulling a string on the back side. This is a bit hard for the younger ones.
The ride moves guest on a track to play a series of games all themed with Toy Story characters. As you move to each screen a new game runs for less than 1 minute before quickly moving on to the next game. There are some fun elements that you can trigger by hitting certain targets and you can get squirted with water or hit with a blast of air.
At the end of the ride your score is totaled up and you are also show your shooting accuracy. They also display the top scores in each car as well as the top score of the day on the screens near the exit.
Even the walk through the exit has fun details including a popular IG popsicle stick wall. All the rides in Toy Story land are popular and Fastpass is available.
