Situated between Frontierland and Liberty Square is Tom Sawyer Island. Inspired by the Mark Twain story this open area is a fun place for kids to play and explore.

To get to the island you will have to take a quick boat trip which can be caught across from Big Thunder Mountain.

The island has plenty to explore from caves to a fort.

The fort even has an underground escape tunnel that exits just to the side of the fort area.

The highest point of the island has a few picnic tables and I have seen families enjoying lunch out here on a nice day.

Right near the picnic area is a small playground area for the small kids. There are bathrooms on the island located where the boat drops and picks up. This is a great place the grownups to relax while the kids run off some energy.
