If you are a fan of the television show the Simpsons you need to visit Springfield USA at Universal Studios. This section of the park has 2 rides and a variety of quick service food options. Guest will feel like they are in the middle of the home town of the Simpsons. You can shop for souvenirs at the Kwik-E-mart or grab a drink at Moes tavern.
A perfect snack for any time of day is the giant pink frosted doughnut found at Lard Lad doughnuts. The doughnut shop has small doughnuts as well.
This giant doughnut is more than enough for our whole family to share. They can also be found throughout the park and not just at Lard Lads.
The Bumblebee mans taco truck serves chicken, pork or beef soft tacos with a side of chips and salsa for lunch and dinner. If you’re not in the mood for tacos you can check out Fast Food Boulevard across the street for a variety of food including Krusty Burger.
Of course you can’t have Simpson themed area without the famous Krusty Burger. Inside this quick service spot has a variety of different restaurants know as Fast Food Boulevard. You can get a burger, pizza, even fried fish. For more details be sure to check out the dining in Springfield post.
For guests over the age of 21 you can get a duff beer, the popular brand from the show.
There are 2 ride in this area. Kang and Kodos’ twirl ‘n’ hurl is one of very few rides in the parks that does not have a height requirement so little ones can ride. Similar to the 1 fish, 2 fish ride in Seuss landing guests can control moving the saucer up and down.
The Simpsons ride does have a height requirement of 40″. This motion simulated ride puts you right into the show with the famous Simpson characters. This ride is a really fun concept but is not for riders who get motion sick. Near the entrance to the ride there are also multiple carnival type games that will cost extra to play.
You can get you photo with characters from the show in Springfield they can be found in the alley between the Simpson ride and the Kwik-E-mart store. The Simpson characters (usually Homer and Bart) sometime have photo spots near Mels Drive-in dinner closer to entrance.
