Sapphire Falls is a moderate level resort located on the Universal Orlando property. We choose this resort because it was one of the resorts that offer boat service to the parks and city walk which is nice after a long day in the parks to not have to walk all the way back through city walk to get to the buses. Since this a moderate, this resort does not qualify for the free express pass.
This resort has subtle Caribbean island vibes, I really enjoyed the coloring throughout. Our room came with 2 queen beds, they also offer 1 King with a couch as well as several suites options if you are traveling with a larger group.
The rooms come with a mini fridge, big enough to keep a few drinks and snacks cool.
There is also a coffee maker with several flavor options.
While the coffee was complimentary the Fiji waters came with a $7 price tag each.
There was a little space in the entry way where we stashed our double stroller at night and it was great to have it out of the way.
The sink was separate from the shower and toilet, which seems to be fairly standard now days. In addition to soap, shampoo and conditioner there was also lotion, shower cap, cotton balls and qtips.
It should be noted most of the rooms here come standard with a shower only. If you need a tub make sure you request it when booking. Since we were traveling with little ones it’s just easier to have a bathtub. Now I will say the door to the bathroom was a sliding barn style door and did not have any kind of lock, which was odd.
When I booked the room I requested a portable crib for our 2 year old and when we entered the room we had both a pack n play and crib so if you are staying here with a baby or toddler you have the option to request either.
Another cute surprise was this little kit they gave us with the crib, it had travel size baby toiletry items. We definitely never got this kind of VIP service at Disney, lol.
Inside the closet you will find a safe, spare blanket/pillow and iron. There was enough space to fit one of our large suitcases in here too.
We really enjoyed our stay here as this was just barely bigger than our normal Disney resort room. The bathroom door not locking was different but we didn’t really need it. We really like how convenient it was to take the boat to the parks and would stay here again for sure.
