Universal has set a plan in motion for the reopening of its theme parks. The reopening would be over the course of a few days beginning on June 1st.
- June 1st and 2nd opening to team members
- June 3rd and 4th opening to invited guest and annual passholders
- June 5th open to the public
Universal Citywalk reopened on May 14th with new protocols in place such as face mask and temperate checks. The parks will have the same rules. Here are some of the changes we can expect to see going forward.
- Mandatory mask for all guest and employees.
- Temperature checks at every entrance.
- Virtual lines for the popular attractions.
- No buffet or self service at restaurants, as well as one time use menus.
- Interactive play areas closed.
- Water elements on rides reduced or removed.
- No post show meet and greets. No sure if this means all meet and greets suspended as well.
At the present time this is still pending approval from the Governor. Nothing is official but we will be anxiously watching the Universal page for updates.
Edit: Today Universal announced they will officially be reopening the parks on June 5th!
