Theme Park dining can become monotonous, so the girls and I are always searching the quick service menus to find something beyond burger, chicken strips and pizza slices. On our recent visit the kids were excited to find some Asian inspired options hidden in one of the quick services in the Toon Lagoon section inside Islands of Adventure of all places.

I wasn’t really in the mood for ramen or rice, so I decided to just have the bacon cheeseburger. It was nothing special but edible and the girls gladly ate my French fries. This meal also came with a milkshake which can be seen in another photo.

The Char Sui ramen comes with pork belly, hardboiled egg, bean sprouts, cilantro and scallions. My 11 year old wanted the ramen but is picky about how much of each thing goes in the bowl so they were nice enough to give her the toppings on the side. She said the pork belly was the most delicious thing she has ever eaten at Universal.

The tofu ramen came with edamame dumpling, pieces of tofu, bean sprouts, cilantro and scallions. These ramen bowls were nice big servings and was more than either of the girls could finish.

The restaurant has several freestyle machines, so we were able to just use our reusable cups but my oldest insisted she needed a milkshake too which came in several of the combo meals.

The decor inside the restaurant features some classic comic characters like Beetle Bailey, Popeye and Nancy. With several quick service options in toon lagoon this place was not busy at all, we were able to walk right up and order. The food was good, and the kids have already said they want to come back.
