It’s a small world ride can be found at most Disney Parks across the world. This is the version located at Disney World in Florida.
Guests hop upon a boat and set sail through different countries through out the globe. This is a great ride for those rainy days as most of the queue and the ride are inside.
This ride is popular among the preschool crowd but can be enjoyed by kids of all ages.
You can see into Pinocchio village haus at the beginning of the ride. This quick service restaurant has this hidden seating area that looks down onto the ride. The girls love to eat lunch here and watch the boats float by.
Did you know that the rides theme music is the most recognized song world wide? It’s no surprise as it’s repetitive lyrics and cheerful tune is sure to be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. The song can play up to 1200 times during a normal operating day.
There are characters from over 38 countries represented through out the ride. Some of dolls represent a specific country while others are more representative of a specific culture.
The Disneyland version was updated in 2008 with Disney characters added into their respective homeland. Like Alice and Peter pan in England, Mulan in China, Cinderella in France and Simba, Timon and Pumba in Africa.
Towards the end of the ride all of the characters from around the world have come together to dance, play and sing the theme song together.
Just before you exit the ride you will find colorful signs with goodbye in all different languages. If you have are wearing your magic band you will get a personal goodbye on these monitors. This ride is worth riding at least once just to see all the details that go along with each section. My girls enjoy the ride just for looking at the characters and trying to guess where there are from.
