With the worst of hurricane Ian past the Orlando area the airport and theme parks are slowly reopening, here is the latest announcements as of Friday morning.
MCO
The airport will open and resume operations after 12pm today September 30th.
Disney World
Disney will open all 4 theme parks today. The first 2 hours at each park is reserved for resort guests only and then will open to the general public thereafter. The Mickeys not so scary Halloween party for tonight 9/30 is still on for guest who already purchased tickets. The opening times to the general public for today Friday 9/30 are as follows.
- Magic Kingdom 10am
- Epcot 11am
- Hollywood Studios 12pm
- Animal Kingdom 1pm
- Disney Springs 10am
- Fantasia mini golf 3pm
Copper creek cabins remained closed through 9/30, Tree house villas will reopen 10/3 and the Fort Wilderness campground will remain temporarily closed until further notice. Star Wars: Galactic starcruiser will resume operations October 1st.
Universal Orlando
While Universal deals with flooding and access damages to the resort area they will begin a phased opening today. As of the morning CityWalk will be open to resort guests along with Volcano Bay. Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios should reopen Saturday 10/1. All hotels will only offer bus shuttle service as the water level is too high to safely run the boats. The resorts continue to operate as normal.

- Volcano Bay 11am for guests with 3-park tickets or 1 day tickets for 9/30
- HHN will open at 5pm for guest with tickets for tonight 9/30
