At Universal in Orlando there are 2 amazing Harry Potter themed lands; Diagon Alley on the Universal Studios side and Hogsmeade in Island of Adventure. The best way to experience all the fun and magic is by getting an interactive wand. There are a few places to purchase them, but we like Ollivanders best. The interactive wands come with a map showing all the locations in each park where you can use the wands for interactive spells, each spot will have a gold marker on the group with the spell pattern. On one of our visits we learned that there were a few extra spells that are not listed on the map.
One spell can be found in the window of Scribbulus writing implements; not to far down there is a feather you can make float just like Hermione in the 1st book . Look for this scroll, it will appear blank at first but point your wand and make a “w” and a magic message will appear. We have seen 3 or 4 different ones appear so if you have several people in your group everyone might get a unique message.
The other spell we found is in front of the Slugs and Jiggers apothecary. In the window you will see a large barrel of what looks like animal poop. Point your want at this and make a “P” and be ready for a smelly surprise! My kids loved both of these hidden spells and we hope you do to.
