30 years, 30 fears
The first scare zone is located between Shrek and Minions and features characters from past Halloween horror nights. Our groups favorite was the lady with the rubber chicken knife. There are characters up in stages as well as roaming the street here.
Seek and destroy
The next scare zone is located near Jimmy Fallon and the Mummy ride. This area has been taken over by the Controller and her minions. They roam the street and will chase after those in the crowd with chainsaws and other weapons. We were constantly being followed anytime we walked through here. But it was not too scary.
Lights, camera, hacktion: Eddie’s revenge
This scare zone is also located near the front of the park but to the right near the Bourne experience. Jack the clown (the mascot of this years HHN) brother is making a movie over in this area. The stages are set with characters like the ice cream man and an alien invasion. We have even ran into Jack while walking through.
Gorewood forest
The Gorewood forest is just after Central Park as you walk towards Springfield and the Animal actors show. The Terra queen is taking human sacrifices. This was our least favorite scare zone because it was so foggy. The characters in this zone just weren’t that scary and it just lacked overall.
Crypt TV
This scare zone is located in the back of the park in the San Francisco area, just before London/Harry Potter. Crypt TV is a series of short horror stories found online. This was the zone my girls were most looking forward to as they have watched some of these on youtube so it was exciting to take photos with the characters. My oldest was excited to see Miss Annity, other characters they saw the sunny family cult, the look-see, the Birch, Harclaw and Walter. This was the least scary area as the characters each just stayed in their designated spot and weren’t following through the crowd.
