Not so hidden at Animal Kingdom is a very unique roller coaster. Designed to resemble Mount Everest in the Himalayas. This replica is the worlds tallest artificial mountain! This roller coaster has a height requirement of at least 44 inches.

Once you enter the queue for the ride it’s like you have stopped into a travel agency to prepare for your trek up the mountain. Along the way there are plenty of real artifacts brought back Nepal.

In the stand-by line guest can learn about the Yeti who lives in the mountain. There is also a Fastpass line and a single rider line that bypasses most of the interesting artifacts.

The mountain is 199 feet tall, if Disney would have built any higher they would’ve been required to add a red light for flying aircraft. It also cost Disney $100 million to build so of course it has to look amazing.

There are plenty of details packed into this ride that I see something new every time we go on it.

One of the best parts is when the coaster goes backwards, there is a small part in the dark that can be scary for kids but the really little ones won’t be tall enough to ride.

Once you reach the top of the track the train begins to run backwards before making its way forward and past the Yeti to safety.

If you are unable to get a Fastpass or are traveling solo be sure to take advantage of the single rider line. Guests in the this line are used to fill in seats for groups that have uneven numbers, so if you don’t like riding with strangers make sure you have a buddy.
