The Germany pavilion is one of my favorites, it’s not huge but packs plenty of shops and delicious food and drink. Like many of the pavilions the style is set up to look like a German town. In the square you will see a statue of St.George and the dragon. This was inspired by my favorite fairytale town Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
In Weinkeller you can order a variety of German wine and beers. They even offer wine flights where you can sample 3 different wines off a list for around $16. There is no seating inside but a few tables outside in the square to enjoy your selection.
There is year round Christmas store here where you can find a traditional pickle ornament for your tree and even read about this poplar German tradition.
Another traditional German item you will find for sale are the cuckoo clocks.
Inside Der Teddybar you will find the Kidcot station for this pavilion, of course it’s nestled in between all the toys so be ready for the kids to want to touch/buy everything.
On the outer-side of the pavilion towards China you will find a Snow White near a wishing well. During the Epcot festivals you will find a stage with live entertainment near Snow White.
On the oppiste side of the pavilion near Italy you can check out the miniature train display. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy but kids will for sure enjoy walking around and exploring this cute town with working trains throughout.
The table service restaurant here is called Biergarten and is buffet full of traditional German and Bavarian food. Just to the right of Biergarten is Sommerfest a quick service area where you can get sausages, pretzels and beer. The inside of Biergarten is themed like you are at an outdoor Oktoberfest and they have fun stage show throughout the day that you don’t want to miss. You can read our review of the restaurant here.
On your way out made sure you stop inside Karamell-Kuche, even if you just step inside for the amazing smell. Everything here is caramel themed, our families favorite is fresh popped caramel popcorn. Best to grab just before the nighttime fireworks!
