Disney World has officially reopened all 4 of its theme parks but not all attractions have reopened. Disney recently announced the it was closing several rides and shows for good. The first is Stitches great escape, this indoor ride was located in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom and was our families least favorite ride of any at the parks. It had been closed down for quite some time and the Stitch character meet and greet had temporarily taken its place. But now it has shut its doors for good.
Over at Animal Kingdom they had shut down the crazy coaster Primeval Whirl, while this wasn’t the worst ride it had lost popularity probably because it threw you around the whole time. It was only operating seasonally during busy times but now is closed indefinitely. The other closure in Animal Kingdom is the Rivers of Light nighttime show. This show is fairly new opening in 2017 as part of the decision to keep the park open later, previously the parks had closed around 6pm. No reason as to why this show all of a sudden would close down but I am sure it has to due with budget cuts after the parks were shut down for several months.
Hope that we can expect some new rides to take the place of those closed down. There was a rumor that a Wreck-it Ralph ride may take the place of Stitchs which would be a welcomed addition in my option.
