The baby care centers at the Disney World theme parks are perfect for families with babies and toddlers. Each of the 4 main theme parks has its own center. The baby care centers offers a comfy place to change diapers, warm bottles, feed babies, toilets without the auto flush, nursing rooms and a place to just relax in the A/C. They also have baby items for purchase in case you forget something.
Each center is located next door to the parks first aid center. In the case you get separated from your child this is where the Disney cast members take them until you can be reunited.
The centers offer nursing rooms for moms who are breastfeeding. Disney is very family friendly so you do not need to go here to nurse, but I enjoyed the nursing rooms for the quiet. Disney world can be very over stimulating with all the people, noise and colors. It’s nice to get a break from all that and get your little one out of the Florida heat for a bit too. There are 2 single person rooms at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom and over in Epcot and the Magic Kingdom they have one big room. If you will be pumping during your trip the First Aid center next door with gladly hold your breast pump there for you so you won’t have to carry it around.
The changing tables inside the baby care centers are much softer than the standard ones you find in the bathrooms. These are bigger and have a foam top. If you will be changing diapers on your trip I would have changing pad or blanket as the tables in the restrooms are hard.
If you need feed baby they have high chairs, microwave and bottle warmers available in each care center. If you forgot to pack something those are available for purchase but its a bit of a mark up. In addition to standard baby items they also have sun screen, bug spray, children’s medicine and even feminine hygiene items. I will point out that the diaper and wipes for sale are only Huggies brand so if you are a Pampers family make sure to bring plenty!
They have a seating area with TV playing all the kids favorite Disney’s shows and movies. The area is good for toddlers and big kids who may just need to relax and wind down for a bit. It’s also great for grown-up to sit down in the A/C and relax.
If you are potty training or even just have a kid who hates the automatic flush on toilets, the centers offer manual flush toilets. The center in Hollywood Studios even has a toddler sized potty.
We have used these centers on every one of our trips, they are perfect for families. The only down side is there is only 1 per park and sometimes you find yourself having to trek across the park just to get there.
