On our recent cruise we stayed in an oceanview stateroom, this particular room was category 9B which are only found on deck 2. These rooms are 204 sq foot and can sleep up to 4. This room had a queen bed and then a twin bunk bed for the kids.

The room featured 2 bath rooms. The first had a toilet and sink while the other had the tub/shower and sink. This was great because more than one person could be getting ready at a time.

The tub was not terribly large but was good enough for our kids to have their evening rinse off. You actually had to step up to get into the bathrooms and the shower was not tall. Hubby who is 6’2 had to crouch down when he was in there.

The bathroom came stocked with shampoo, condition, soap and lotion.

Across from the bathrooms there are some storage closets. On side had a small safe good for keeping passports and other valuable/important items.

They also had life vests for everyone in the room. This is also where they store the ladder for the bunk beds during the day.

During the day the sitting area would have the couch set up but in the evening they would come in and turn the couch into a bed and lower the top bunk.

The first night the kids beds just had plain white sheets but after our room attendant saw we had girls she gave them Frozen bedding the rest of the trip.

In the seating area you have a TV, extra storage, refrigerator and your wave phones (these are phones you can take with you to keep in touch on the ship.)

Inside the desk drawer you will find morning room service door hangers, 2 post cards, information about on-ship internet as well as stationary and a pen.  Also in one of the desk drawers is the hair dryer and the outlet to plug it in is at the desk.

The ottoman can open up for more storage and the queen bed has space underneath to store luggage, just make sure it gets pushed in all the way as I hit my foot on ours on more than one occasion.

Built into the desk there is a mini fridge, it’s not huge but fine for storing a few bottles of water or other drinks.

There is a curtain that can separate the queen bed from the bunk bed area. This was nice in the morning when I was getting ready I could have the light on and not disturb the kids. I was also surprised how quite it was in the room. There was only one time we heard our neighbors and that was in the middle of the day.

The room is on the small side but we were only in there to sleep and shower. There was more than enough room for storage. We kept our luggage under the bed and the kids blanket and stuffed animal in the ottoman during the day. The kids really enjoyed the large porthole window and could often be found lounging there.
