The Disney cruise line is know for it’s great kids clubs but they are for kids aged 3 and older. For those families traveling with babies or toddlers this is for you. Now there is a fee to use the nursery. It’s $9 per hour and there is a $1 discount per hour for additional kids. It’s a small world nursery is offered on all 4 of the Disney cruise ship. These photos were taken on the Disney Dream.

The nursery is open for ages 6 months to 3 years old.  Most cruises require babies to be at least 6 months old, the Transatlantic and Panama canal cruises require babies to be 1 year to sail. There are 3 different sections to the nursery. When you first walk in there is a play area with toys, TV and even a little slide.

The next section has arts and crafts.

The last area is a quite area for naps. They had about half a dozen cribs back here along with several swings and bouncers.

You may want to bring diapers/pullups, wipes, food or formula, a blanket, pacifier and extra clothes.

There are only a limited number of spaces available so reservations are recommended. They are taken on a first come first serve basis and you can book 75 days out or more depending if you are a repeat cruiser or staying in a concierge level room.

The hours the nursery operates varies from day to day so check your navigator for times. Ours was open 8/9am until midnight depending on the day. This would be worth it to drop the little one off for a dinner alone or if you want to see the evening show with just the grownups.
