The Land pavilion in the future world section of Epcot is home to 2 rides, one of the best quick services in the park and a fun table service restaurant. This restaurant is called Garden Grill and is a character meal that is served family style.

One of the kids favorite parts is the restaurant slowly rotates! On the level below is a boat ride called Living with the land, that takes you through a working a working greenhouse and talks about the past and future of farming.

Like I mentioned the meal is served family style where they bring out a bit of everything on the menu and you can ask for more of anything at no extra cost. The meal starts with a garden salad and fresh rolls/butter. The salad was so good. I enjoyed the vinaigrette dressing but the girls did not, you could probably ask for dressing on the side. We were fairly hungry when we sat down so the girls gobbled up all the rolls.

The main course came served in this large cast iron skillet. It consisted of Turkey with gravy, grilled beef with a chimichurri sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, corn succotash and mac n cheese topped with goldfish crackers. Everything here was so good and fresh. The vegetables change with whats in season and some of the food is from the greenhouse seen on the ride.

For dessert they have a berry shortcake and they also brought out a few sugar cookies with the Mickey shaped sprinkles for the kids. By the time the brought out dessert we had almost made the full rotation in the restaurant. Since it wasn’t too busy we sat an enjoyed the views until we made it all the way around which in total was about an hour.

The characters would normally come around to each table and interact with photos and autographs but with covid most of the character meals have been temporarily stopped for safety. However we were pleasantly surprised that Garden Grill had the characters interacting from a distance. We saw Chip and Dale, Mickey Mouse and Pluto. Since parks are operating and lower capacity the restaurant was not very full the characters came around 3 different times during our meal which the 4 year old loved. The kids and I really enjoyed our meal here, the food was so fresh and a welcome relief from theme park junk food. The girls were entertained by being able to see parts of the ride we don’t normally get to in the boat including the bedroom of the farmhouse. We will be back again for sure.
