The Bayliner diner is the resorts main dining option and is set up food court style with 3 main stations each serving up specific styles of food.
From the International section I got the Brazilian beef churrasco which came with choice of 2 sides so I got the potato casserole and mixed vegetables. This was really good and filling. The beef was cooked perfectly.
My 10 year old enjoyed mine so much she got the kids version of the beef churrasco. The kids meals come with carrot sticks, apple slices and choice of milk, apple juice or small water bottle.
From the pizza and pasta side we tried the Chicken alfredo pasta. This was just ok, would not order again because the over all flavor was not there and the chicken was dry. We ended up throwing most of this away.
They have the option of cheese or peperoni pizza. This is the small cheese pizza and the girls ate several of these through out our stay.
The kids spaghetti and meatballs was nothing special. My 10 loves marinara and this barely came with any sauce only a small amount that the meatballs were cooked in.
From the sandwich section we tried the mindful “chick’n’ wrap, this is a vegan plant-based wrap with veggies and Asian inspired sauce. For sides at the sandwich station, you can choose from pasta salad, fresh fruit or house-made potato chips. The fruit was the best part of this, the sauce on the wrap was overpowering and we ended up throwing most of this away.
With the theme of the resort being 50/60’s style the seating in the diner area will take you back with commercials and clips of shows from that time frame. The food choices here were some of the best varieties of the on-site resorts here at Universal. They also have a burger/grill section that was not open at the time of our visit.
