The Disney Dream has 3 main restaurants that guest will rotate through each night, for the cruises longer than 3 days you will have repeats at 1 or all if depending on the duration of your stay. Disney will assign each party a specific dining location when you check-in and it will be printed on your key to the world card. There are 2 different times for the dinner seating you will either have the early 5:45pm or late 8pm. Depending when you book you may get to choose which time you’d like, we had the 8pm seating and that worked well for us.
The meal begins with a basket of bread for the table and the adults started with appetizers. R tried the Sliced Serrano ham, manchego cheese and olive tapanade.
I opted for the black truffle pasta purseittes. These were so good, I could have ordered a few of these and had them as my main course. The nice thing about the Disney cruise is you can order more than 1 thing off the menu so they would have gladly brought me as many plates as I wanted.
The kids did not have choices for appetizers but could have easily ordered from the adult menu. They were both decided to get cheese pizza for their main course.
R opted for the herb crusted pork chop with sundried tomato risotto.
I had the grilled tuna steak with fingerling confit and caponata (eggplant and other veggies seen underneath fish).
For desert we shared the cheesecake and an apple crumble rice pudding with vanilla ice cream. I really like the rice pudding inside World Showcase so this was a whole new take on a classic and did not disappoint.
As we ate dinner the screens around the restaurant showed a few different games including one where you guess what the fish are trying to be, similar to what is the Nemo ride line. This was hands down my favorite meal of the whole trip but did not enjoy it as much as I would have liked as the first night the seas were very choppy and we were all a bit sea sick. I can’t wait until our next cruise to go back.
