The lamb was good but left your fingers greasy. The pesto was like a melted butter and made this one of the messier items we had.
The lamington was just a chunk of yellow cake with chocolate and coconut on the outside. It was nothing special and is easily skippable.
Our 6 year old love muscles so we had to get these from the New Zealand booth. We asked for them without breadcrumbs. I will have to take her word on how good they were because she had eaten them all by they time I got out back from the Canada booth.
We opted for the traditional poutine at the refreshment port. The fries were nice and crispy and the gravy was a nice accent. I have eaten real poutine in Canada years ago and this tasted better than those.
Hubby and I love eating at Le Cellier so the Canada booth is always a must for us during the festival. It was a bit to hot for soup but we got our filet mignon and it was delicious, highly recommended.
I was sad to see that the Fishermans pie wasn’t on the menu this year. It’s a family favorite and we usually end up getting 2 or 3 to share.
From Brazil we tried the Moqueca, it’s listed as a seafood stew but it was mostly just rice topped with a small piece of fish and sauce. It was yummy though, I would easy order this a a meal.
Our oldest loves getting her Belgian waffle every year we come and this year was no different. The fresh whip cream is my favorite part.
